This course aims to provide some fundamental knowledge of the Bible and its connection to literature for letting the learners know the importance of the former in studying and interpreting any work from the latter. The basic structure of the Bible will be introduced as well as a general picture of the content of the Bible. Some examples for explaining the so-called biblical allusions will be taken from some literary works in order to let the learners know how the knowledge concerning biblical allusions can be so helpful for them to read literature meaningfully.
