本課程擬以宋明理學為講授單元，旨在介紹宋明理學家的思想體系與思考要題，展示宋明學術發展之大勢，並增進研讀宋明儒者著作的能力。本課程有三個主要學習目標：一是修畢本課程，能對個別理學家思想有具體的認識。二是藉由本課程的修習，能明瞭宋明理學核心議題與歷史發展。三是能具備閱讀相關文本的背景、知識與能力，以作為有意深研宋明理學的基礎。

This course is planned to take Neo-Confucianism of the Song and Ming Dynasties as the teaching unit. It aims to introduce the ideological system and thinking issues of the Neo-Confucians of the Song and Ming Dynasties, demonstrate the general trend of academic development in the Song and Ming Dynasties, and enhance the ability to study the works of Confucian scholars of the Song and Ming Dynasties. This course has three main learning objectives: First, after completing this course, you can have a specific understanding of the thoughts of individual Neo-Confucianists. Second, through the study of this course, one can understand the core issues and historical development of Neo-Confucianism in the Song and Ming Dynasties. The third is to have the background, knowledge and ability to read relevant texts as a basis for further study of Song and Ming Neo-Confucianism.
