《世說新語》是一本相當難以歸類的著作，它是中國小說史上志人小說的代表，也是研究魏晉時期歷史不可或缺的文獻，更是研究魏晉思想乃至魏晉風度、士人心態及文化活動的重要資料。本課程試圖從文學、思想、歷史等角度，使學生從《世說新語》的內容研讀中更加認識魏晉時代，並了解《世說新語》在各領域中的重要性。首先介紹《世說新語》的成書、版本與歷代注本，分析書中篇章的分類原則和方式。接下來依篇章摘選《世說新語》中的文獻加以研讀討論。最後則以主題研究的方式對《世說新語》做綜合性的討論。俾使同學從《世說新語》更加瞭解魏晉這個繽紛多元的特殊時代。

"New Book of the World" is a very difficult book. It is a representative of the novels of Chinese novels in the history of Chinese novels, and is also an indispensable text for studying the history of the Wei Dynasty. It is also an important data for studying Wei Dynasty thoughts and even Wei Dynasty styles, scholars' attitudes and cultural activities. This course test picture allows students to better understand the Wei Dynasty from the perspectives of literature, thought, history, etc., and understand the importance of "New Words" in various fields from the perspectives of "New Words". First, we will introduce the book, version and reprint of "New Words of the World", and analyze the classification principles and methods of chapters in the book. Next, we will select the text in "New Words of the World" based on the chapter to study and discuss it. Finally, we will discuss "New Words" in a comprehensive way through topic research. So that students can understand Wei and Jiang's special era with a variety of diversity from "New Words".
