先秦是中國散文發展的開端，也是文言語體形成的起始；熟悉先秦散文作品，可以奠定文言基礎，並掌握古典散文之基形。本課程透過閱讀講授，引導學生瞭解中國古典散文的形成，及先秦階段的散文類型與成就，深入探討此階段優秀作品之內涵與影響；為古典散文學習中不可或缺之一環。

Pre-Qin is the beginning of the development of Chinese prose and the beginning of the formation of literary genres. Being familiar with pre-Qin prose works can lay the foundation for classical Chinese and master the basic form of classical prose. Through reading teaching, this course guides students to understand the formation of Chinese classical prose, as well as the prose types and achievements in the pre-Qin period, and deeply explores the connotation and influence of outstanding works in this period; it is an indispensable part of the study of classical prose.

本課程為中文系大二選修課程。課程目標在引導學生深入瞭解先秦時期古典散文之起源、發展；透過選文閱讀講述，學生得以熟悉先秦重要之散文作家與作品，有效提升對文言文閱讀與理解之能力；並得以掌握中國古典散文發展之源流與脈絡。

This course is an elective course for sophomores in the Chinese Department. The goal of the course is to guide students to gain an in-depth understanding of the origin and development of classical prose in the Pre-Qin period. Through selected readings, students can become familiar with important prose writers and works in the Pre-Qin period, effectively improve their ability to read and understand classical Chinese, and master the origin and context of the development of Chinese classical prose.
