修課學生可對現今生物學的內容與其在醫藥上的應用能有所認識，也可學習從生物學角度去重新審視或結合其所學專業文法商社會等領域的知識內容。當在面臨急速社會的變遷過程中，能充份掌握對生命本質、健康與科技生活及生態保育等正確的概念與處理態度，成為新時代中堅的知識份子。課程內容從地球生命的起源及生物演化開始介紹，隨續談論生命基本單位細胞的功能，粒線體與老化癌症的關係，體細胞複製，生殖作用等，再接續講解有關遺傳學理論與現代生物科技的應用及爭議等課題。提供學生對於生命科學相關理論與生物科技進展應用等的知識。學生在通過此課程後，除能對現今生命科學的內容與其在生物醫藥上的應用能有所認識外，也可從生物學的角度去重新審視或應用在其專業領域，例如法律或社會工作等所學的內容上。

Students can have some understanding of the content of today's biology and their application in medicine, or learn knowledge from a biological perspective or combine it with the professional grammar and trade society they have learned. When facing the rapid social change, we can fully grasp the correct concepts and treatment attitudes of life, health, scientific and technological life, and ecological conservation, and become an intellectual in the new era. The course content begins with the origin and biological evolution of life on Earth, and discusses the functions of basic unit cells in life, the relationship between granular cells and aging cancer, cell reproduction, reproductive effects, etc., and then continues to explain the subjects related to the application and disputes of theories and modern biotechnology. Provide students' knowledge on the relevant theory of life sciences and the application of biotechnology. After passing this course, students can not only understand the content of today's life sciences and their application in biological medicine, they can also re-examine or apply them from a biological perspective, such as legal or social work.
