■ 課程目標 (Course Objectives)
通用設計是「愛的設計」也是「 未來的設計」。面對這一波人口結構的急劇變化,我們必須體認到通用設計是本世紀生活的設計方針,亦是影響台灣未來發展的設計思潮。事實上,對產產業界而言,導入通用設計不僅使產品更能對應使用者多元化需求,對產業形象也有正面的助益。對使用者而言,能享有不因年齡、性別、身體能力影響的生活用品與生活環境,更能提昇生活品質。從公共環境設計到生活產品設計,唯有導入通用設計觀念並整合產官學力量,才能全面提升台灣產業的設計品質。在「以人為本、永續發展」的核心價值下,掌握人文關懷的設計本質,才能創造產業品牌形象,落實全民安心、安全的生活環境,並討論台灣UD發展的可能性與因應策略。
■ 課程內涵 (Course Contents)
台灣面對高齡社會的來臨,所 以不論是居住型態、生活模式、勞動生產模式等皆逐漸產生變化。此時,秉持人本關懷的通用設計(Universal Design),成為本世紀生活的設計方針,亦是影響台灣未來發展的設計思潮。通用設計的核心價值為「人本關懷」。人因有性別、年齡、能力、身體特性等差異,形成各種不同且多元的需求,為了對應這些需求,便需要以人為出發點的設計,以滿足人們在生理、心理及精神生活上的種種需求。關於通用設計的實際效 益,參照通用設計產業發達的日本實例來看,日本企業會根據營運目標制定屬於自己的「UD準則」,再從日本經濟產業省的報告發現UD產品的市場規模正逐年擴大,另外,由日本企業的自主性問卷調查結果得知,多數企業認為UD的導入可提升企業形象,也對提高營業額有正面影響。從公共環境設計到生活產品設計,唯有導入通用設計觀念並整合產官學力量,才能全面提升台灣產業的設計品質。在「以人為本、永續發展」的核心價值下,掌握人文關懷的設計本質,才能創造產業品牌形象,落實全民安心、安全的生活環境。

■Course Objectives
Universal design is "the design of love" and "the design of the future." Facing this wave of drastic changes in the demographic structure, we must realize that universal design is the design guideline for life in this century, and it is also the design trend that will influence Taiwan's future development. In fact, for the industry, the introduction of universal design not only enables products to better respond to the diverse needs of users, but also has a positive impact on the image of the industry. For users, they can enjoy daily necessities and living environment that are not affected by age, gender, or physical ability, which can further improve the quality of life. From public environment design to lifestyle product design, only by introducing universal design concepts and integrating industry, government and academia can the design quality of Taiwan's industries be comprehensively improved. Under the core value of "people-oriented, sustainable development", only by grasping the essence of humanistic care in design can we create an industrial brand image, implement a secure and safe living environment for all people, and discuss the possibilities and response strategies for the development of UD in Taiwan.
■ Course Contents
Taiwan is facing the advent of an aging society, so the living patterns, living patterns, labor and production patterns, etc. are gradually changing. At this time, Universal Design (Universal Design), which upholds humanistic care, has become the design guideline for life in this century and is also a design trend that will influence Taiwan's future development. The core value of universal design is "humanistic care". People have different and diverse needs due to differences in gender, age, ability, physical characteristics, etc. In order to respond to these needs, human-centered design is needed to meet people's various needs in physical, psychological and spiritual life. Regarding the actual benefits of universal design, we can refer to the example of Japan, where the universal design industry is developed. Japanese companies will formulate their own "UD guidelines" based on operational goals. From the report of Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, it is found that the market size of UD products is expanding year by year. In addition, from the results of the autonomous questionnaire survey of Japanese companies, most companies believe that the introduction of UD can enhance the corporate image and have a positive impact on increasing turnover. From public environment design to lifestyle product design, only by introducing universal design concepts and integrating industry, government and academia can the design quality of Taiwan's industries be comprehensively improved. Under the core value of "people-oriented, sustainable development", only by mastering the design essence of humanistic care can we create an industrial brand image and implement a secure and safe living environment for all people.

課程概述 Course Description

本課程為介紹通用設計之起源、內容、思考方式及如何實踐於設計行為中。Universal Design譯成「通用設計」。「無障礙設計」、「福祉設計」、「全人關懷」等乃是Universal Design思潮興起的背景因素。生活環境中有著各式各樣關係的存在,可彙整成「人」-「產品」-「環境」三者間的關係,這些種種「關係」的探討,可說是「關係」的設計;而「關係」的思考方式,同時也是Universal Design「在最大限度的可能範圍內,不分性別、年齡與能力,適合所有人使用方便的環境或產品之設計」的原點。

This course introduces the origin, content, way of thinking and how to practice universal design in design behavior. Universal Design is translated as "universal design". "Barrier-free design", "welfare design", "whole person care", etc. are the background factors for the rise of Universal Design trend of thought. There are various relationships in the living environment, which can be summarized into the relationship between "people" - "products" - "environment". The discussion of these various "relationships" can be said to be the design of "relationships"; and the way of thinking about "relationships" is also the origin of Universal Design "to the greatest extent possible, the design of environments or products that are suitable for everyone to use, regardless of gender, age and ability."
