現在、台湾において日本語教育が盛んに行われています。これは社会にどのような影響をもたらすのでしょうか。過去において、「日本語(国語)教育」は人々に何をもたらしたのでしょうか。日本において国語教育は何をもたらしたのでしょうか。その目的と手法はどのようなものであったのでしょうか。この授業では、こうした言語教育の歴史を踏まえながら新しい日本語教育の目的と方法を検討します。そして言語が人間にとってもつ役割とは何か、その教育はいかにあるべきかを考えます。また、学生主体、反転教育、学思達、オンライン授業などの思潮の中で、学校や大学などの教育機関の日本語授業はどのような可能性があるかも考えます。

這門課程回顧台灣為殖民地時，以日語為國語作為統治的手段教授語言教育的歷史，討論現行的第二語言教育、外國語教育的目的與方法應該如何進行。
另外，邊閱讀語言教育、語言學習、研究方法相關之論文，邊理解語言教育的研究課題，重新思考語言教育、語言學習應有的狀態。
