課程說明:本課程有三大目標。第一,研究專題的通論或導論性質課程;第二,認識當代世界主流研究者的研究方向、研究議題,與研究方法;第三,認識「近代中國」的關鍵性議題。關於第一個目標,這是指本課程係針對計畫以「近代中國」作為研究領域的研究生(或大學部高年級學生)而設計的,它希望為學生提供一個「研究介面」,讓他們/她們在未來可以更從容地進入與研習各個有關「近代中國」的研究專題。至於第二個目標,這是指這一課程將盡可能地與當代的「近代中國」研究主流相結合。透過引進當代世界代表性區域的近代中國研究主要成果,本課程希望能幫助準研究者建構一個具有世界觀的認識「近代中國」研究理論架構。本課程第三個目標是「延伸研究」。藉由凸顯近代中國的三大特質(革命、啟蒙與新秩序),本課程可以讓學生們先行掌握「近代中國」專題研究的若干關鍵性議題,然後在此一前提下,於將來再延伸進入其他研究專題。課程內容:

Course description: This course has three major goals. First, the general or discussion course of research topics; second, the research direction, research topic, and research methods of mainstream researchers in the contemporary world; third, the key topics of "Modern China". Regarding the first goal, this course designs the program for graduate students (or senior students from the university) in the research field with "Modern China" and it hopes to provide students with a "research interface" so that they/they can more easily enter and study research topics about "Modern China" in the future. As for the second goal, this means that this course will be combined with the contemporary mainstream of "Modern China" research as much as possible. Through the introduction of the main results of modern China research into representative areas of the contemporary world, this course hopes to help researchers to construct a world-renowned research theoretical framework for understanding "Modern China". The third goal of this course is "Extended Research". By highlighting the three major characteristics of modern China (revolution, inspiration and new order), this course allows students to first master some key topics in the research on the topic of "Modern China", and then, under this premise, it will be extended to other research topics.
