本課程以當代戲曲的創作、搬演以及整體發展與變化作為課程內容，期能透過劇本閱讀、劇場觀賞以及相關評論、研究論文的討論與分析，引領學生對於當代戲曲的創作情況有所理解，亦能進一步觀察這些討論對於傳統戲曲與當代劇場如何進行結合，以及新的審美標準如何建立與開展。藉由這些課程內容的安排，希望能培養學生鑑賞與評析當代戲曲的能力，一方面從古典戲曲史的知識基礎延伸至對於當代戲曲的發生狀況的理解，同時也能觀察到在現代劇場與西方思潮衝擊之下，當代戲曲所呈現的豐富樣貌以及各種跨領域與跨文化的對話。
This course takes the creation, performance, overall development and change of contemporary dramas as the course content. Through the reading, the viewing of the drama, the discussion and analysis of related comments, research papers, students can understand the creative situation of contemporary dramas, and further observe how these discussions combine traditional dramas with contemporary dramas, and how new aesthetic standards are established and developed. Through the arrangement of these course content, we hope to cultivate students' ability to evaluate and analyze contemporary dramas. On the one hand, it extends from the intellectual foundation of classical drama history to the understanding of the occurrence of contemporary dramas, and at the same time, we can also observe the rich appearance and various cross-regional and cross-cultural dialogues presented by contemporary dramas under the impact of modern dramas and Western thoughts.
