了解中古漢語雙音化與南北異同之特色，並能利用常用詞的歷時演變現象研究南北異同。本學期研究對象將以佛經資料為主。中古詞彙研究中佛經詞彙為一重要研究對象，其中多有新詞新義，無論在語義或結構上都有值得探究之處。本次中古詞彙研究將以佛經資料為主軸，除了延續以往南北異同的討論之外，更著意在南北佛經詞彙上。為了培養同學具備基礎閱讀佛經詞彙能力，將在課程開始之初簡介天台基礎理論。

Understand the characteristics of the Chinese language dual phonology and the differences between the north and the south, and be able to use the time-evolution phenomena of common vocabulary to study the differences between the north and the south. The subjects of this study will focus on Buddhist data. In the study of medieval lyrics, Buddhist lyrics are an important research object, and there are many new words and new meanings, and there are points worth exploring in terms of linguistics or structures. This medieval lyrics research will focus on Buddhist lyrics. In addition to continuing the previous discussions on the differences between the north and the south, it will also focus on Buddhist lyrics of the north and the south. In order to cultivate students' basic ability to read Buddhist lyrics, the basic theories of Tiantai will be introduced at the beginning of the course.
