本課程上半年重點在對青銅彝器的了解,強調殷商金文和甲骨文的對應研究,從而掌握殷商文化歷史。下半年偏重西周、東周金文的對比研究,透過文獻和地下材料的互較,嘗試用金文來解決一些古書的問題,並教導學生多元的治學方法和思辯模式。本課程包括考古、古文字、古文化歷史和古文獻的研讀,對中國古典文學、文化和語文提供一基礎而實用的訓練。

The first half of this course focuses on the understanding of bronze Yi vessels, emphasizing the corresponding research on Yin Shang bronze inscriptions and oracle bone inscriptions, so as to master the Yin Shang cultural history. The second half of the year focuses on the comparative study of bronze inscriptions of the Western Zhou Dynasty and the Eastern Zhou Dynasty. Through the comparison of literature and underground materials, we try to use bronze inscriptions to solve some problems in ancient books, and teach students multiple scholarship methods and thinking modes. This course includes the study of archeology, ancient characters, ancient cultural history and ancient documents, providing basic and practical training in Chinese classical literature, culture and language.
