公民教育是各國所重視的議題，良好的公民養成將影響國家社會的正向發展。本課程的目的是讓修課學生瞭解，現代國家公民應具有那些基本知識與能力，以及如何透過學校教育做為主要機制，以培育公民所需知識、德行、以及社會參與能力等資格條件，從而充實並型塑一個適合自由民主社會之公民文化。Citizen education is a topic that is valued by all countries, and good civic cultivation will affect the positive development of national society. The purpose of this course is to let students understand what basic knowledge and abilities modern countries should have, and how to cultivate the civic culture that is suitable for a liberal democratic society through school education as the main mechanism to cultivate the qualities and conditions of knowledge, morality, and social participation abilities of citizens.
