1. 訓練學生如何深度聆聽音樂,了解其中的音樂元素以及如何運用不同音樂元素所發展出的多樣音樂風格,並討論音樂背後所傳達的藝術思想及社會意義。
2. 討論政治事件或是戰爭如何影響音樂創作以及聆聽經驗, 音樂又如何成為政治服務的工具,抑或是成為革命的武器,甚至成為改變社會的力量。
3. 深入分析音樂如何反映當代人群的集體記憶,音樂創作者又是如何回應當代人們的情感需求。
4. 討論音樂載體的變遷,以及音樂作為商品時,音樂人的角色以及功能如何轉換,聽眾的聆聽經驗又是如何改變,音樂產業何去何從。
5. 鼓勵學生以音樂為對象,來觀察思索人類行為背後的意義,思考人類社會如何變遷、價值觀如何演化,以及音樂作為藝術的價值。
本課程上課方式將會由授課老師帶領學生以工作坊的方式討論來進行。本課程將會分成課堂講授跨文化的音樂現象與台灣音樂專題討論兩大部分。跨文化的音樂現象將由授課老師講授並引導學生聆聽音樂、進行討論,針對現代音樂思潮的開端、音樂與政治、以及音樂與族群融合等等課題做跨文化、跨樂種的深入討論。專題討論則由學生以分組報告、討論的方式,針對台灣的音樂現象進行深入的討論, 台灣音樂專題可探討的題目包括:台灣的民歌運動、偶像歌手如何讓人們瘋狂追星、李宗盛與其塑造女歌手們、台語歌的永恆主題與美學、客語歌的人文關懷與土地情感、站上流行音樂舞台的原住民歌手、原住民傳統音樂的復興與新生、台客搖滾、周杰倫的影響、台灣的獨立音樂等。

1. Train students how to listen in depth of music, understand the music elements of them, and how to use the diverse music styles developed by different music elements, and discuss the artistic thoughts and social significance conveyed behind the music.
2. Discuss how political events or wars affect music creation and listening experience, how music becomes a tool for political services, or a revolutionary weapon, or even the power to change society.
3. In -depth analysis of how music reflects the collective memory of the contemporary population, and how music creators respond to the emotional needs of contemporary people.
4. Discuss the changes in the music carrier, and when music is a product, how the musician's role and function will be converted, the audience's listening experience is changed, and where the music industry goes.
5. Encourage students to observe the meaning behind human behavior as the object of music, think about how human society changes, how values evolve, and music as art.
This course will be led by the lecturer to discuss the workshop by the workshop. This course will be divided into two parts: cross -cultural music phenomenon with cross -cultural music and Taiwan music topics. Cross -cultural music phenomena will be taught and guided students to listen to music and discuss them. The start, music and politics, and the integration of music and ethnic groups for modern music thoughts are made in in -depth discussions. Special discussions are discussed in depth of Taiwan's music phenomena by group reports and discussions. The topics that can be discussed in Taiwan's music topics include: Taiwan's folk song movements, how idol singers make people chase the stars crazy, Li Zongsheng and their female singers shaped female singers The eternal themes of Taiwanese songs and the humanistic care and land emotions of aesthetics and guest songs, the aboriginal singers on the popular music stage, the revival and freshman of the traditional music of the Aboriginal people, the influence of Jay Chou, the influence of Jay Chou, Taiwan’s Independent music, etc.
