本課程介紹西方音樂史浪漫中、後期主要的樂類、風格、代表作曲家，並探討此時期的音樂，如何與當代歐洲的社會、文化、經濟結構互動。課程中將一再出現的主題，為浪漫派作曲家、演奏家如何對應古典時期的傳統（如曲式、風格、配器、樂類、演奏法）。
This course introduces the main music, style, and representative composers in and later romance in Western music history, and explores how music during this period interacts with the social, cultural and economic structures of contemporary Europe. The themes that will appear repeatedly in the course are how romantic composers and performers respond to the traditions of the classical period (such as melody styles, styles, orchestrations, music, and performance methods).
