本課程主要是想透過一些國際媒體雜誌，例如：Economist、Time、CNN，來作為上課教材。讓同學們能夠掌握到國際時事的變化與潮流；並且能夠進一步地去增強本身的英文能力。在過往的教學經驗中，發現到同學們對於國際時事的發生比較漠不關心，往往無法了解到現在最新的時事發展，造成授課時的困難；再加上，英文為國際性的語言，同學們對於國際時事的漠不關心，也有可能是受限於英文能力的不足。因此，透過閱讀國際英文媒體，可以一方面增進同學們的英文能力，同時，也可避免閱讀翻譯過的中文可能參雜了其他人的主觀意識在其中，因此帶來的不客觀、不中立的假新聞。

This course mainly uses some international media magazines, such as Economist, Time, and CNN, as teaching materials. Allow students to understand the changes and trends in international current affairs; and further enhance their English skills. In the past teaching experience, we found that students are relatively indifferent to the occurrence of international current affairs, and they are often unable to understand the latest current affairs developments, which causes difficulties in teaching. In addition, English is an international language, and students' indifference to international current affairs may also be limited by their lack of English ability. Therefore, by reading international English media, students can improve their English proficiency on the one hand, and at the same time, they can also avoid fake news that is not objective or neutral due to the subjective consciousness of other people mixed with the translated Chinese.
