【課程內涵】
本課程透過選讀政治學的英文著作，來培養同學們的閱讀及翻譯能力。課程內容涵蓋七項主題：民主與政體轉型、政治系統、民意與政治傳播、政治暴力、國際關係、失敗國家、環境政治等。此外，課程的進行方式如下：一，以每週討論的主題為核心，選定一篇政治學的英文著作，作為閱讀的指定文本；二，教師講解概念、論點與案例；三，修課同學在閱讀並且翻譯指定文本之後，於課堂繳交作業。【Connotation of course】
This course uses English books on politics to cultivate students' reading and translation skills. The course covers seven themes: democracy and political transformation, political system, public opinion and political communication, political violence, international relations, failed countries, environmental politics, etc. In addition, the course is carried out as follows: 1. With the theme of the weekly discussion as the core, a political English book is selected as the designated text for reading; 2. The teacher explains concepts, points and cases; 3. After reading and translating the designated text, students will submit their work in the classroom.
