This course is intended to provide the basis for a broad understanding of economic theories and views concerning consumers’ perspectives, behaviors and decision processes, and their connections to the marketplace and the economy. Topics covered will include consumer behaviors, consumer theories and models, consumer decision making, marketing strategies, and selective issues concerning consumers and the economy, such as aging, equality, innovation, open source and uniqueness.
