This course is divided into two segments, which will introduce students current issues of the international business in geopolitical environments and latest developments of global financial markets, respectively. The contents in the topics of the international business will emphasize at the issues of the globalization of markets, the internationalization of firms in the emerging markets, and the cultural environment of international business. The latest development of global financial markets will contain the current issues of stock markets, bond markets, investment portfolios, and mutual funds. Students are required to read business newspapers regularly, for example, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, or Bloomberg Business Week.
