此課程開設之目的，在使環境科學與工程學系的學生，具備基礎的微生物學研究技術與方法，奠定進階生物科技研究的基礎，未來能在環境科學、環境工程與微生物學相關範疇靈活運用這些觀念與方法，包括環境保護、污染整治、監測、生態保育、遺傳工程、分子生物學等。The purpose of this course is to enable students in the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering to have basic microbiology research techniques and methods, laying the foundation for advanced biotechnology research, and in the future, these concepts and methods can be used in environmental science, environmental engineering and microbiology related scope, including environmental protection, pollution control, monitoring, ecological conservation, transmission engineering, molecular biology, etc.
