This course aims at enabling the undergraduate students to understand the principal ideas of health risk assessment, including the scope, the components, the steps, the tools, and the uncertainties. Besides the examples lectured by the instructor, there will be exercises for attendees’ thought and discussion in class. This course instructs the students to learn trace or ultra-trace analytical methods for the determination of organic and inorganic contaminants. The subjects include sampling, sample preparation, qualification, quantification, and method validation.
