人因工程在瞭解系統中，人及其它組件間的交互作用的學科；也是在設計時應用理論性原則，數據及方法，以增進人類福祉及系統表現的專業。「人因工程」這學科，係探討關於人類的行為、能力、限制和其他特性等知識，而應用於工具、機器、系統、任務、工作和環境等的設計，使人類對於它們的使用能更具生產力、安全、舒適與有效果。是近年來各大學工業工程學生必修之課程。Disciplines of interaction between people and other components because engineering understands the system; it is also a major that applies theoretical principles, data and methods to enhance human welfare and system performance during design. The discipline of "people due to engineering" discusses knowledge about human behavior, ability, restrictions and other characteristics, and is applied to designs of tools, machinery, systems, tasks, work, and environment. It has productive forces, safe, comfortable and effective. It is a compulsory course for industrial engineering students in various universities in recent years.
