Marine organisms are not only the main representatives of earth's organisms in terms of types and numbers, but their value is increasing day by day in scientific research or actual application. For example, marine organisms are currently widely used in molecular mechanisms, immunity, behavior, ecology, and evolution related to gene expression, cell death, cell growth and differentiation. In terms of application, there are cancer drug sources, bone health materials, bio-high functional fibers, various neurologic drugs, environmental pollution detection, etc. Therefore, marine organisms with unlimited research potential and application value will be the mainstream of 21st century biological research and biotechnology. In addition to giving students a basic understanding of marine life and personal contact in the wild, this teaching team planned this course, it is another purpose to make them understand what academic research and practical applications these animals have. It hopes to use this to arouse students' learning motors and interests, and one day when they are activated, a certain type of marine life will be selected for research or development. We have designed a series of practical activities and operations to allow students to collect the latest information about marine biological industries, propose written reports and produce short films for different categories of species based on their biotechnology and industry applications. Through this series of practical activities and operations, we hope to enable students to have in-depth discussions on the categories they are assigned to. In order to enable the whole class to have a comprehensive understanding of the application value of all major marine organisms, we will guide and help each group produce short films of the report content to encourage other students in the class, other students in the biology department, and even students from foreign departments to absorb the information collected by each group.
