近年來,由於分子生物學的快速進展和基因組技術的研發,產生了許多生物相關資料,這些大量累積的資料,需要電腦協助儲存、組織、分析及搜尋。生物資訊學課程的目標是培養學生在生物醫學上尤其是後基因體時代大量資料的理解與比對,重點是學會使用已開發的簡易電腦軟體技術及熟悉Pubmed 等常用搜尋軟體來做序列比對,基因發現,蛋白質序列比對 蛋白質結構比對,蛋白質結構預測 等範圍內相關研究. 此次課程同時增加了實作 DNA barcoding 的部分 藉此實作訓練同學萃取DNA, PCR及分析 DNA序列. In recent years, due to the rapid progress of molecular biology and the development of genomic technology, a lot of biological related data has been generated. These large amounts of accumulated data require computers to assist in storage, organization, analysis and search. The goal of the bioinformatics course is to cultivate students' understanding and comparison of a large amount of data in biological medicine, especially in the postgenomic era. The focus is to use developed simple computer software technology and familiarity with common search software such as Pubmed to do sequence alignment, gene discovery, protein sequence alignment, protein structure comparison, protein structure prediction and other scope. This course also adds part of the implementation of DNA barcoding. This practices the training of patients extracting DNA, PCR and analyzing DNA sequences.
生物資訊學是一門年輕的學門。它主要是利用電子計算機高速運算能力來處理,分析,擷取和挖掘大量生物實驗資料中具有生物意義的資訊,幫助研究人員解釋實驗資料,建構生物模型,以及預測生物系統的行為。
在這門課程中,將有系統的引導學生了解生物資訊學中幾個重要的領域,包括,(1)生物資料庫的認識與應用,(2)序列分析(DNA, RNA proteins),(3)生物資料統合分析(含多序列排比分析,建構演化樹,比較基因體學,DNA microarray)
Biological Information is a young school. It mainly uses the high-speed computing power of electronic computers to process, analyze, retrieve and mine a large amount of biological implications in biological experiment data, helping researchers to explain experimental data, construct biological models, and predict the behavior of biological systems.
In this course, there are systems to guide students to understand several important fields in biological information, including (1) the recognition and application of biological databases, (2) sequence analysis (DNA, RNA proteins), (3) biological data synthesis analysis (including multi-sequence alignment analysis, construction of evolution trees, comparison of genes, DNA microarray)
