This course is aimed at providing students with a basic idea of how the international system is formed. Moreover, in completion of this course, students should be able to gain a bigger picture of the international society and understand how the international system works. Students should be able to explain how UN and its related agencies, EU and its related agencies, and other transnational organizations run and their foundational purposes. Students should be able to gain individual thinking and should be able to present their own ideas to others clearly. This course is to provide students with foundational world political knowledge. This course will begin with an introduction of World War I and ends with a discussion in current political issues. An emphasis will be given on how the international system is formed and run in recent years.

All texts will be provided by the lecturer by pdf files or power points the week before class. Students are expected to have read through them and is readied for discussion by the time of the class. Furthermore, students are expected to bring a copy of the transcript to class for discussion purposes.
