本課程之開授旨在讓學生瞭解中國古典短篇小說之源流、發展、演變，各時代短篇小說與社會、文化、思想之關係，透過文本之選讀，使學生能詮釋析論、審美鑑賞作品；並觸類旁通，聯繫詩、詞、散文、戲曲等其他文類，比較不同文類表現技巧與特色，厚植學生思辨、欣賞、詮釋文學作品之能力，並對我國文化與思想有深入的認識。本課程內容包括:
一.神話--祖先的由來,自然與災難
二.寓言--孟子,莊子,韓非子,戰國策,列子等寓言
三.志怪--人與異類姻緣傳說,仙鄉傳說,鬼神世界
四.志人--世說新語選讀
五.笑話--明清笑話選讀
六.傳奇--唐傳奇選讀
七.話本--宋話本選讀
八.筆記--閱微草堂,聊齋誌異選
The purpose of this course is to allow students to understand the origin, development and evolution of Chinese classical short stories. The relationship between short stories of various eras and society, culture, and thoughts. Through the selection of text, students can analyze and review works; and to understand the bypass, contact other texts and other texts, compare the expression techniques and characteristics of different texts, cultivate students' ability to think, appreciate and comment on literary works, and have an in-depth understanding of our culture and thoughts. The course includes:
1. Myth - the origin of ancestors, nature and disaster
2. Fables--Mencius, Zhuangzi, Korean Feizi, War Guoce, Liezi and other fables
3. Strange ambitions--the story of the marriage between humans and different kinds, the legend of the fairy country, the world of ghosts and gods
