Percussion Literature

教育目標 Course Target

一、教學目的:
介紹近代經典的獨奏與室內樂之擊樂作品,使學生具備分析打擊樂作品及賞聆的能力,進而從美學的詮釋來探討作品的藝術性。除經典之擊樂作品外,當代新創作及曲種亦在討論範疇,目的於培養對國際打擊創作潮流之敏銳度,並經由對經典擊樂作品的介紹,開啓學生對於擊樂曲目的熱情及追求。

二、教學原則及教法要求:
將擊樂作品以曲種分類,每類依據時間發展的主軸作介紹,逐一分析其作曲風格、手法、概念來源、及特殊的演奏技巧和詮釋方法,每週依照課程進度介紹三至四首曲目,再從中擇其一詳細探討與研究。鼓勵學生提問及參與討論,增加課堂的學術活潑性。

三、教學內容及要求:
本課程將探討及分析西洋打擊樂的經典作品。在一學期的課程中, 上半學期著重於擊樂室內樂的沿革,下半學期則將探討木琴獨奏曲、綜合打擊樂曲、及協奏曲的發展等。期末呈現則為學生對有共鳴及呼應之擊樂作品的分析報告。經過一整個學期,窺探大部份之重要擊樂作品後,對擊樂有相較於過去不同的體驗及瞭解。

1. Teaching purposes:
Introduce modern classic percussion works for solo and chamber music, equip students with the ability to analyze and listen to percussion works, and then explore the artistry of the works through aesthetic interpretation. In addition to classic percussion works, contemporary new creations and music types are also discussed, with the purpose of cultivating sensitivity to international percussion creation trends and igniting students' enthusiasm and pursuit of percussion repertoire through the introduction of classic percussion works.

2. Teaching principles and teaching method requirements:
The percussion works are classified by genre, and each category is introduced according to the main axis of time development. Its composition style, technique, conceptual origin, and special performance techniques and interpretation methods are analyzed one by one. Three to four pieces are introduced every week according to the course progress, and then one of them is selected for detailed discussion and research. Encourage students to ask questions and participate in discussions to increase the academic liveliness of the classroom.

3. Teaching content and requirements:
This course will explore and analyze classic works of Western percussion. In a one-semester course, the first half of the semester focuses on the evolution of percussion chamber music, while the second half of the semester will explore the development of xylophone solos, comprehensive percussion pieces, and concertos. The final presentation is the students’ analysis report on percussion works that resonate and echo. After a whole semester, after peeking into most important percussion works, I have a different experience and understanding of percussion than in the past.
