This is a joint course jointing offered by a faculty member of Seinan Gakuin University, Japan. We wish to communicate with students worldwide through the internet. We believe that it will help students to better understand the diversity of cultures, know the views of young people from other societies, and make friends with young people all over the world. While normal visits and meetings by travel incur many costs, collaboration via the internet costs comparatively little. We can give all students the chance to talk with foreign students worldwide. In this course, THU students will have a chance to share their opinions and ideas with SGU students. We are going to discuss some current events and popular issues around the world. We will have video conferencing and Skype meetings with Japanese students. With these meaningful activities and discussion, we believe that students can express themselves confidently, embrace the world in a more flexible way and respect the differences in diverse cultures.

This course mainly discusses current affairs and hot topics in English, allowing students to use English to communicate and express their opinions intentionally, and learn to respect diverse opinions. During the middle of his schooling, he will discuss current affairs with students from Southwest University in Japan through online video conferences.
