This three-credit course is designed to give students a strong foundation in the basics of Standard English grammar. There will be detailed discussions of many aspects of grammar such as sentence patterns, phrases, clauses, and punctuation. Students will be given exercises that emphasize sentence-level writing skills in order to apply their knowledge of the material studied in class.
