教育目標 Course Target
「超級台中!」計劃中,將由Parametric/ Urbanism 兩方向同時進行。一方面由規劃歷史、土地分區、都市空間、建築模型、地景設計、居民使用等種種層面,分析呈現綠園道環帶的背景脈絡、建築現狀與空間層次。另一方面同時研究當代都市資訊與數位媒材的整理表現方法,視覺化呈現綠帶系統與都市空間的各種面向與關係。此設計題目將以資訊化的系統理解,Landscape/ Ecological Urbanism 的當代思維,結合資料運算、數位幾何、地景操作、系統置入、空間設計等方法,重新活化綠園道之系列地景,成為積極參與都市空間的超級系統。都市是一種超級系統!當有形的建築操作侷限於小販為街區基地,大範圍都市規劃是無形的使用限制,則空間尺度介於兩者之間的「超級系統」真正造就了城市的空間組織,建構起我們認之城市的方式。台中的超級系統,有向心格狀街區的歷史、台中港路/台灣大到的貫串、屯區重劃的開發計畫,以及常被遺忘的環狀園道綠帶等等。
台中綠園道系統近二十條,總長度約二十公里(約等於台灣大道全長),連接十餘處重要文化機構與開放空間,幾乎完整環繞既有城區一周(圍合面積約有七期之三倍半大小),同時也劃分了其內的傳統重心(中區)與其外的當代開發(屯區與重劃區)。園道規劃在1950年代即近完備,直到1988年興闢,1996年全線告成,跨越東南西北四區,經過文教、住宅、商業與工業區段,綠化設計與空間使用有許多歧異姿態。可惜的是,除了大家熟悉的草悟道與美術園道之外,其餘園道區域少為一般市民重視,多為居民鄰里綠地使用。綠園道空有整體都市的規模,而未發揮超級尺度的都市空間意義。
The "Super Taichung!" plan will be carried out simultaneously in two directions: Parametric/Urbanism. On the one hand, the background context, architectural status and spatial hierarchy of the green parkway ring are analyzed and presented from various aspects such as planning history, land zoning, urban space, architectural models, landscape design, and residents' use. On the other hand, we simultaneously study the organization and expression methods of contemporary urban information and digital media materials, and visually present the various aspects and relationships between the green belt system and urban space. This design topic will be understood systematically through information and the contemporary thinking of Landscape/Ecological Urbanism, combined with methods such as data computing, digital geometry, landscape manipulation, system placement, and space design, to revitalize the series of landscapes along the Greenway and become a super system that actively participates in urban space. The city is a super system! When tangible architectural operations are limited to street vendors as block bases, and large-scale urban planning is an invisible restriction of use, then the "super system" with a spatial scale between the two truly creates the spatial organization of the city and constructs the way we recognize the city. Taichung’s super system includes the history of the centripetal grid blocks, the connection between Taichung Harbor Road/Taiwan University, the rezoning development plan of the residential area, and the often-forgotten circular green belt, etc.
The Taichung greenway system has nearly 20 lines, with a total length of about 20 kilometers (approximately the entire length of Taiwan Avenue). It connects more than a dozen important cultural institutions and open spaces. It almost completely surrounds the existing urban area (the enclosed area is about three and a half times the size of the seven phases). It also divides the traditional center of gravity (central area) within it and the contemporary development outside it (tunnel area and redistricting area). The park road plan was nearly complete in the 1950s, and it was not established until 1988. The entire line was completed in 1996. It spans the four districts of southeast, northwest and northwest, and passes through cultural and educational, residential, commercial and industrial sections. There are many different ways of greening design and space use. Unfortunately, except for the familiar Cao Wu Road and Art Garden Road, the rest of the garden road areas receive little attention from ordinary citizens and are mostly used as neighborhood green spaces by residents. Green Park Road has the scale of an entire city, but does not play a super-scale urban spatial significance.
