產業與學界對於電子商務的重視，從最直接的資訊管理相關科系所紛紛規劃與電子商務相關的課程，以接應此領域之相關人才需求大增。除此之外，其他非資訊管理相關的科系亦開始在課程設計中出現所謂「電子商務」課程。本課程將結合餐旅類電子商務之概念性的規劃架構，作為學生為因應電子商務發展，與對電子商務知識的方向上重要的參考。
