當代法國哲學家、社會哲學家布西亞(Jean Baudrillard)《消費社會》(La Societe de consommation)乃當代社會哲學重要著作,不僅以後結構主義、符號理論和交換理論探討了物的消費品化、消費社會的結構,消費社會的「神話」所造成的危害和浪費,也論及消費理論和大眾傳媒、身體(作為消費品和象徵符號)等問題。本課程希望能透過文本研讀與分析,瞭解當代消費社會問題的形成,以及消費與我們的生存(死亡)的關係。
本課程除涉及物、消費和功用化等問題的探討,涉及的問題探討尚有大眾媒體(尤其是廣告媒體)與消費神話,符碼化問題,「我」的消費與被消費,並將介紹與學習當代重要理論:擬像(Simulation)理論,象徵符號理論與交換理論,身體哲學。 其次,本課程包含消費理論和個別消費現象的分析。理論部分,除了消費理論,尚有:物的形式,價值理論。 個別消費現象的分析,大致分為三大部分:媒體(尤其,廣告及大眾傳媒)與消費,身體作為消費品,時間作為消費品。The contemporary French philosopher and social philosopher Jean Baudrillard's La Societe de consommation is an important work in contemporary social philosophy. It not only explores the consumption of objects, the structure of the consumer society, the harm and waste caused by the "myth" of the consumer society, and also discusses consumer theory and public media, the body (as consumer goods and symbols) and other issues. This course hopes to understand the formation of contemporary consumer society problems and the relationship between consumption and our survival (death) through text study and analysis.
In addition to the discussions on issues such as objects, consumption and functionalization, this course also involves the discussions of public media (especially advertising media) and consumption myths, symbolization issues, "my" consumption and consumption, and will introduce and learn important contemporary theories: Simulation theory, symbolic theory theory and exchange theory, and body philosophy. Secondly, this course includes consumption theory and analysis of individual consumption phenomena. In addition to consumption theory, there are also: the form of things and the theory of value. The analysis of individual consumption phenomena is roughly divided into three parts: media (especially advertising and public media) and consumption, the body is a consumer product, and time is a consumer product.
