Due to the complex nature of this work, the course is hard to plan. Obviously we will not manage to read the entire book. Nor would it be helpful to read only parts of it – we simply would miss important explanations that are necessary for the understanding of further sections. My suggestion: We will go through it as far we can get. This being said, I am aware that the course calendor is a kind of wishful thinking, but at least we have to try matching it.
In this course the book will be read (as far we get) and discussed. Every student is expected to attend regularly and to take active part, which is crucial for achieving the course´s goals. Because of the difficult nature of the book, no presentations by students are required, but that means that the success of the course relies the more on the willingness of active participation.
