本課程以先秦道家的《莊子》為本，通過講授與討論《莊子》文本的研究議題與方法，教導學生進行專題論文撰寫，並於期末舉行論文發表會。預期達到的目標有三：一是對《莊子》思路的把握，二是對原典文本的解讀能力的鍛鍊，三是論文寫作的熟稔。

This course is based on the "Zhuangzi" written by the pre-Qin Taoists. Through teaching and discussing the research topics and methods of the "Zhuangzi" text, students are taught to write special papers and hold a paper presentation at the end of the semester. There are three expected goals: the first is to grasp the ideas of "Zhuangzi", the second is to exercise the ability to interpret the original text, and the third is to become familiar with essay writing.

本課之目的在讓哲學系學士班同學在經過數年的哲學基礎訓練後，能在中國哲學之專題上對所學的內容與方法作綜合的應用，即就哲學的一個專題來閱讀與思考，並寫成報告，可以為日後進一步的研究奠定基礎。中國哲學的專題包括：（1）先秦道家哲學；（2）先秦儒家哲學；（3）兩漢哲學；（4）魏晉哲學；（5）隋唐佛學；（6）宋明理學；（7）近現代中國哲學。授課教師可就任一專題設計課程。

The purpose of this course is to enable students in the bachelor's degree class of the Department of Philosophy to comprehensively apply the content and methods they have learned on a topic in Chinese philosophy after several years of basic training in philosophy. That is, to read and think about a topic in philosophy and write a report, which can lay the foundation for further research in the future. Topics in Chinese philosophy include: (1) Pre-Qin Taoist philosophy; (2) Pre-Qin Confucian philosophy; (3) Han philosophy; (4) Wei and Jin philosophy; (5) Sui and Tang Buddhism; (6) Song and Ming Neo-Confucianism; (7) Modern Chinese philosophy. Teachers can design courses on any topic.
