長久以來，台灣的法學教育必修科目中，多僅偏重理論之講授，即所謂之大堂課(Vorlesung)，而欠缺案例講授(Fallbesprechung)及實例演習(Übung)之課程。上述課程在德國均例為必修課程，且將通過實例演習(Übungsklausure)視為重要的畢業門檻。 實例演習課程相對於台灣較不重視，本課程乃針對具備刑法基礎理論的同學所開設的課程，將採取案例式教學，藉此培養同學獨立思考及解題之能力。
其次，現行國家考試，刑事法走向實體與程序法結合，本課程以單一事實出發，要求同學從實體與程序的層面，解決具體個案。

For a long time, Taiwan's law education compulsory subjects have focused only on teaching theory, namely the so-called lobby courses, but lack the courses of case teaching (Fallbesprechung) and example performance (Übung). The above courses are all required courses in Germany and will be regarded as important graduation points through the examples. The sample performance course is less important than Taiwan. This course is a course designed by students with basic theories of criminal law. It will adopt case-based teaching to cultivate students' ability to think independently and solve problems.
Secondly, in the current national examination, criminal law is moving towards a combination of physical and procedural law. This course is developed in a single matter, requiring students to solve specific cases from the perspective of physical and procedural levels.
