最近幾十年人類第一次經驗到大多數人可以活到老年，有些國家甚至可以活到70、80歲。然而高齡社會也帶來前所未有的挑戰。本門課程討論社會學者分析討論高齡社會所衍生的各項課題的研究成果。高齡社會所面臨的不僅只是人口老化的健康問題與經濟安全議題，它同時也與家庭結構與生活型態息息相關。本課程將在閱讀高齡社會的文獻之後，聚焦於生活品質與快樂的議題。高齡社會學的議題相當多元，除了基本的文獻的閱讀與討論，本課程也配合學生的興趣，聚焦於特定的主題。

In recent decades, for the first time, mankind has experienced that most people can live to old age, and in some countries they can even live to be 70 or 80 years old. However, an aging society also brings unprecedented challenges. This course discusses the research results of sociologists who analyze and discuss various issues arising from the aging society. What an aging society faces is not only the health issues and economic security issues of the aging population, it is also closely related to family structure and lifestyle. This course will focus on issues of quality of life and happiness after reading literature on aging society. The topics in the sociology of aging are quite diverse. In addition to basic literature reading and discussion, this course also focuses on specific topics in line with students' interests.
