藉研究方法的介紹與研讀,報告的制作,充實學生在研究方法的
認識和瞭解。除了培養學生獨立研究的能力外,進一步奠定發現新知
的基礎。從假設的提出,主要變數的測量,資料的搜集、測試到解釋
分析,從質性和量化兩方面作實作的練習,並藉報告的寫作與檢討,
交換研究的心得。
二、主要內容 :
(一)、研究方法的介紹與討論,輔導學生提出假設,研究大綱的提出,
資料的搜集,和假設測試的能力。
(二)、強化學生從假設的提出,資料的搜集、測試、分析和解釋,的
獨立研究的能力。
(三)、輔導學生具有洞察力和想像力,作為創建新知的基礎。
(四)、藉由報告的寫作與檢討,強化研究的能力。

首先,辨別本體論、知識論(認識論)和方法論三者之間的不同。其次,探討政治學之研究發展及相關理論之演進。再者,研究質性和量化分析之內容和特性。第四,練習及掌握如何撰寫學術論文及研究計畫。
