The goals of this course: (1) introduce students to study and discuss articles on Internet ethics, (2) train students to reflect on the philosophical foundations of Internet ethics, (3) require students to conduct practical case analysis on Internet ethics issues.
Contents of this course: Due to the rapid advancement of computer and network technology, today's social environment has undergone tremendous changes, which has also resulted in many ethical issues that have never been considered before, including personal privacy, intellectual property rights, data security, interpersonal relationships, etc. on the Internet. Cyberethics/internet ethics is an emerging discipline of applied ethics that has emerged in response to the development of this technology. It attempts to understand and solve the urgent challenges and even serious threats that Internet technology has brought to today's human life. This course not only guides students to explore various ethical issues for users and providers in the Internet environment, but also encourages students to further reflect on the impact of Internet programming on society and individuals, as well as the responsibility issues involved.
