一、學習目的

本課為在職專班同學所設，試圖了解明清兩代小說發展的歷史，選讀明清長篇小說的章回篇目，了解明清小說研究的路徑與開創，修正一些積非成是的概念，並關注坊間經典的改寫，以及讀者的接受現象，期望也能對中小學的小說教學現場有所幫助。

(二) 選讀三國演義、西遊記、紅樓夢、儒林外史等四種文本
(三) 明清小說相關論文的閱讀與討論

1. Learning purpose

This course is designed for in-service students. It attempts to understand the history of the development of novels in the Ming and Qing dynasties. It selects chapters from Ming and Qing novels to understand the path and innovation of Ming and Qing novel research. It also corrects some unfounded concepts and pays attention to the rewriting of popular classics and the phenomenon of readers' acceptance. It is hoped that it can also be helpful to the teaching of novels in primary and secondary schools.
2. Teaching objectives
(1) The development history of novels in the Ming and Qing Dynasties
(2) Selected readings from four texts including Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Journey to the West, Dream of Red Mansions, and The Scholars
(3) Reading and discussion of papers related to Ming and Qing novels
