On completion of the course, students should be able to:

This course is designed to help students advance their listening and speaking ability in English through guided exposure to authentic programs and theme-related reports. Students will develop familiarity with real-life communication and increase their fluency in discussing topics that have broad relevance in todays interconnected world. A variety of themes and topics will be covered, including science, arts, health, society, the environment, current events, and issues of everyday life. The course will help students gain greater proficiency and interest in utilizing global information resources to expand their world knowledge as well as their educational and professional horizons.
