成功無捷徑，一切都應該由最基本的個人品德與修為做起，也就是要「重視原則」。課程介紹有效能人力所重視的七項原則，透過認知上的學習，在團隊中的實踐與反思，不斷地修正與重複，使自己養成這七項重要的習慣。思想決定行動，行動決定習慣，習慣決定品德，品德決定命運。本課程期待幫助學生把原則化為習慣，日復一日的習慣將決定個人未來的成敗。 如果要建立習慣需要由 「知識、技巧、意願」三方向去努力，缺一不可。本課程的設計也是透過閱讀、講述傳授知識，在勞作教育場域上操作技巧，並藉由團隊的相互激勵不斷增強意願。 個人成長包括三階段：「依賴期、獨立期、互賴期」。個人要先學習獨立，之後再追求人際關係的互助合作，最後達到公眾的成功。 另一個重點是產出與產能必須平衡，才有最大的效能。例如＂會生金蛋的鵝＂這個寓言中，金蛋是產出 (Production)、鵝是產能 (Production Capacity)，金蛋跟鵝都要兼顧，不能殺雞取卵。一個人最寶貴的，就是要持續投資自己，未來的生涯發展、人際關係、婚姻等各方面，才能持續成長，得到全方位的成功。
