人見識之淺薄,在於下判斷時囿於自身有限的生命經驗與時下流行的是非、好惡,而汲汲於一時之成敗得失。人讀歷史,非僅單純記憶過去發生之諸多事實,更非以虛構的過去為自身出於偏見的行為辯護,讀歷史實為明白人性,培養深厚的人格。王夫之所處的明末清初,非如漢、唐之「自亡」,而是如宋亡般,「舉道法相傳之天下而亡之也」。值此之際,王夫之在《讀通鑒論》與《宋論》兩本史論中,剖析實事,進而反省儒學作為人性之理想與時代興衰之關連。今日再讀,或對於我們思考時代問題,有所啟發。課程將針對選定的主題,擷取《宋論》中相關的篇章進行導讀與討論。The purity of people's perception is to judge the limited life experience and the popular right and wrong and evil in the time, and to be eager for a moment of success and gains and losses. When reading history, people not only memorize the many things that happened in the past, but also do not rely on the virtual past as their own prejudiced behavior. Reading history is to understand human nature and cultivate a deep personality. The late Ming and early Qing dynasties where Wang Fu lived was not like the "self-destruction" of Han and Tang dynasties, but like the Song dynasties, "the world was destroyed by Taoism and Dharma." At this point, Wang Fuzhi analyzed the actual situation in the two historical discussions of "Reading the General Discussion" and "Song Discussion", and then reflected on the connection between Confucianism's ideal of human nature and the decline of the times. Reading again today may have some potential for us to think about the problems of the times. The course will read and discuss the selected topics by taking relevant chapters in "Song Dynasty".
