教育目標 Course Target

臺灣音樂史的探究主體為「音樂」,以「時間」為排序,層次討論音樂在不同歷史紋脈與殖民階段的種種面向。

臺灣,四面環海的蒫爾島嶼,孕育出十多個不同原住民族的發展與支脈,地景位於大陸文化與海洋文化的交會,使臺灣同處於「照葉樹林文化帶」與「黑潮洋流文化帶」,豐富了物質與非物質音樂文化的縱深。數百年來,臺灣音樂與社會脈動緊密結合、相互牽引,不同時期與不同移民,帶來自身的音樂與傳承,不同時期的統治階段與殖民政策,更直接影響臺灣音樂的發展與質變。

音樂教化政策與現代科技傳媒、西方教會人士的推動,西方音樂一步步深植於臺灣,徹底改變臺灣原有的音樂觀念和行為美學。日治時期臺灣人民對於現代性的追求和互動,深受維新運動的影響,臺灣--日本的第一個海外殖民地,同時象徵新興帝國主義在東亞取代中國,得以與西方強權平起。

戰後國民政府時期,禁制與解禁,如實反應於歌謠音樂的脈動;近代多元社會的成形與科技網絡的快速傳播,移工音樂、新住民音樂,甚至東亞流行音樂文化等,一波波為臺灣帶來轉變的浪潮。

本課程將臺灣音樂研究分成三大領域,為「臺灣音樂地圖與社會」、「臺灣傳統音樂的歷史發展與聲響變遷」、「創作音樂的緣起與發展」,試圖將臺灣音樂的形式與種類,鑲嵌於內,深入剖析臺灣社會脈動與音樂相關議題,以期認識臺灣音樂的多元面向。

The main subject of the study of Taiwan's music history is "music", sorted by "time", and the various aspects of music in different historical contexts and colonial stages are discussed hierarchically.

Taiwan, an island surrounded by sea, has given birth to the development and branches of more than a dozen different indigenous peoples. The landscape is located at the intersection of mainland culture and maritime culture, making Taiwan both in the "Zhaoye Forest Cultural Belt" and the "Kuroshio Current Cultural Belt", enriching the depth of material and intangible musical culture. For hundreds of years, Taiwanese music has been closely integrated with the pulse of society and pulled together. Different periods and immigrants have brought their own music and inheritance. Different stages of rule and colonial policies have directly affected the development and qualitative changes of Taiwan's music.

Thanks to music education policies, modern technological media, and the promotion of Western church people, Western music has been deeply rooted in Taiwan step by step, completely changing Taiwan's original musical concepts and behavioral aesthetics. During the Japanese colonial period, the people of Taiwan's pursuit of and interaction with modernity were deeply influenced by the Restoration Movement. Taiwan, Japan's first overseas colony, also symbolized the emergence of emerging imperialism in East Asia, replacing China, and becoming equal to Western powers.

During the post-war period of the Nationalist Government, bans and lifting of bans truly reflected the pulse of folk music; the formation of a modern pluralistic society and the rapid spread of technological networks, the music of migrant workers, the music of new residents, and even the pop music culture of East Asia, etc., brought waves of change to Taiwan.

This course divides the study of Taiwanese music into three major areas, namely "Taiwanese Music Map and Society", "Historical Development and Sound Changes of Taiwanese Traditional Music", and "Origin and Development of Creative Music". It attempts to embed the forms and types of Taiwanese music into it, and deeply analyze the pulse of Taiwanese society and music-related issues, in order to understand the diverse aspects of Taiwanese music.
