Taught in English
Social Innovation: Practice and Reflection
Course Target

This course is an issue-oriented course in which students actually promote social innovation proposals and reflect on them.
This course is a continuation of the "Graduation Topic: Social Enterprise and Social Innovation" course last semester. In the course of the last semester, the students who took the course have put forward proposals related to social innovation, and these proposals will be implemented this semester. Therefore, this course includes two aspects: 1. Weekly discussion of practical situations, 2. Reflection on one's own actions and the concept of social innovation.
During this semester, students taking the course must use time outside the course to promote their proposed plans. As for the weekly class time, they are used to plan and reflect on their own actions. At the same time, relevant concepts will also be provided in the course according to the actual progress.
This course currently has two main proposals. Through the organization of activities, each will promote food safety, humanities and nature issues to different targets (primary school students and college students) (the title is still being revised). Students from all departments are welcome to join this course. The following is the recruitment advertisement for the second group of students:

[About an action to help farmers across age groups]
Organic agriculture was born, and one of its important tasks was to correct the long-running conventional agriculture. In our life experience, we often see organic vegetables being grown from the fields to the dining table. Some have also formed independent industrial chains through member mutual aid models, such as the Housewives Alliance Cooperative and the Gudong Cooperative, which satisfy the farmers' perspective of planting. However, the cooperation between students, education and agriculture seems to have not yet been fully developed.
We believe that the promotion of organic farming must start from an early age, allowing children to get in touch with the land, learn from farming, and realize how hard and complicated farming is. By comparing the food and vegetables of conventional agriculture and organic agriculture, we can directly experience and gradually correct the wrong concepts of food in life. Next semester, we will enter the primary school campus, take the children to do things by hand, think by hand, and tell the story of children and organic matter through storytelling. You are sincerely invited to participate.

We all know that eating vegetables is good for you, but are the vegetables you eat safe? When you think that absorbing vegetable fiber is harmless, is your body actually being poisoned by contaminated vegetables? Are you curious about what vegetables grown healthily in a greenhouse look like, avoiding toxins and pollution?
When you open the newspapers every day, countless food experts and nutritionists warn that modern people's lives are surrounded by a variety of high-fat (high-fat, high-sugar, high-salt) foods. If you have noticed the dazzling array of sweet breads surrounding modern people’s lives, I believe you have noticed the problem: almost every kind of bread seems to be sweet and delicious? Do you always feel full and happy after eating? It seems like you don’t eat much, but your weight remains high and your waistline is getting bigger day by day?
Then, join the graduation special course! Here, you will get to know many fellow travelers who are as confused as you and full of strong curiosity. Under the teaching of professional knowledge, you will have the opportunity to see and touch the answers with your own eyes, and then pass on the valuable experience to the next person!
