人口結構是影響社會發展或形構社會問題的重要背景機制。人口結構的變遷更常讓這些社會問題呈現持續性與跨世代性的動態後果，高齡化趨勢下萌生的健康不平等即是一例。本課程即針對台灣百年來的人口變遷趨勢以及其帶動的高齡社會問題和老化過程進行討論。此外，本課程將以執行中的台中市高齡者調查為範例，提供同學更為深度的高齡研究實務視野。

Population structure is an important background mechanism that affects social development or structures social problems. The changes in population structures have more often caused these social problems to have dynamic consequences of sustained and transgenerational sex, and the health inequality arises under the trend of hypertrophy is an example. This course discusses Taiwan’s population trends over the past century, as well as its high-altitude social problems and aging processes. In addition, this course will take the executed Taichung City High Age Survey as an example to provide students with more in-depth high age research practices.
