經濟學是研究如何把稀少性資源，做最有效率配置的一門學問，旨在探討人們在有限的資源下如何做選擇？以及人們所選擇的活動，會造成什麼樣的結果？因此，經濟學也可說是一門研究選擇的科學。本課程介紹基本經濟學概念及分析工具，用來研究如何把有限資源配置到各個彼此互斥的用途上，以期對經濟活動（行為） 有深入的瞭解，課程內容涵蓋個體經濟學及總體經濟學。本學期內容是討論總體經濟學，包括: 總體經濟探討議題、國民所得的意義與衡量、物價膨脹與失業、貨幣與金融市場、總合供需分析、財政政策與貨幣政策、國際貿易與金融等。

Economics is a discipline that studies how to allocate scarce resources in the most efficient manner. It aims to explore how people make choices with limited resources. And what are the consequences of the activities people choose? Therefore, economics can also be said to be a science that studies choices. This course introduces basic economic concepts and analytical tools, which are used to study how to allocate limited resources to mutually exclusive uses, in order to gain an in-depth understanding of economic activities (behavior). The course content covers individual economics and overall economics. The content of this semester is to discuss general economics, including: general economic discussion issues, the meaning and measurement of national income, price inflation and unemployment, currency and financial markets, aggregate supply and demand analysis, fiscal policy and monetary policy, international trade and finance, etc.
