本課程旨在介紹明、清兩朝政治制度的建立、發展過程與相異之處，並且說明若干影響政治制度調整的事件與人物，藉此討論中央與地方政府機構的建置、國家權力的運作、中央政策下達與地方的應變，以及人事關係與政策的推行等議題，提供修課同學深入了解明、清朝政治機構的運行與政治制度的變化，繼而認識其與今日民主政治的差別，並且思考現今國家政策的走向與政治人物的言行。

This course aims to introduce the establishment, development process and differences between the political system of the Ming and Qing dynasties, and to explain several events and figures that affect the adjustment of the political system, so as to discuss the establishment of the central and local government institutions, the operation of national power, the response of central policies and local policies, as well as personnel relations and policy implementation, and provide students with in-depth understanding of the operation and changes of the political institutions of the Ming and Qing dynasties, and to recognize the differences from today's democratic politics, and to think about the trend of the current national policies and the words and deeds of politicians.

1.引領修課同學瞭解明、清兩朝中央與地方政府機構的建置與政策的施行。
2.藉由介紹影響明清政治制度調整的事件與人物，使修課同學瞭解政治制度的推行與人事的運作之間的關聯。
3.透過引發修課同學對於傳統中國政治制度的興趣，培養學生對現代政府機構與政治事件的關懷與思考。

1. Guide students to study and understand the establishment and implementation of policies of the central and local government institutions in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
2. By introducing events and figures that influence the adjustment of the political system in the Ming and Qing dynasties, students in the courses can understand the relationship between the implementation of the political system and the operation of personnel.
3. Through the introduction and training of students, students' interest in the political system of traditional China, cultivate students' concerns and thoughts on modern government institutions and political events.
