This course is aimed at providing students with a basic idea of how the international system is formed and an introduction to how Taiwan has come to reach its status in the current days. Moreover, in completion of this course, students should be able to gain a bigger picture of the international society and understand how the international system works. This course is to provide students with foundational world political knowledge. This course will begin with an introduction of World War I and ends with a discussion in current political issues. An emphasis will be given on how the international system is formed and run in recent years.
