漢語方言是漢語史的專題之一，包含「漢語方言史總論」、「語言田野調查」、「漢語方言歷史層次分析」、「古漢語的構擬方法」等四大層面。本課程前段將介紹漢語方言學研究的基本內容，如漢語方言差異成因，漢語歷史分化圖示，漢語方言的分布與特點，漢語方言的分區與分群等語言學內涵。課程後半段介紹語言田野調查分法，預計安排實地田野調查，讓同學練習語言調查與整理調查語料，並練習分析方言音系。
語言田野調查所得為語言共時層面結果，在共時面之上，可再進行更深入的歷史層次分析。語言歷史層次等歷時面的研究是漢語方言學的核心，本課程將以閩方言為例，討論漢語方言與古漢語語音間的層次聯繫，以及古漢語擬構的研究成果。Han dialect is one of the topics of Han dialect history, including four major aspects, including "Summary of Han dialect history", "Study on Language Field Survey", "Analysis of the History of Han dialects", and "Construction Methods of Ancient and Han Dynasties". In the early part of this course, we will introduce the basic contents of Han dialect research, such as the causes of Han dialect differences, the historical differentiation of Han dialects, the distribution and characteristics of Han dialects, and the division and grouping of Han dialects. The second half of the course introduces the language field survey classification method, and plans to arrange real-life field surveys, allowing students to practice language surveys and organize survey materials, and practice and analyze dialect pronunciation systems.
The results of language field surveys are the results of language co-temporal aspects. A more in-depth historical analysis can be carried out on the co-temporal aspects. The study of the historical level of language is the core of Han dialect. This course will use the Mind dialect as an example to discuss the level connection between Han dialect and ancient and Han dialect, as well as the research results of ancient and Han dialect structure.
