教育目標 Course Target
質的研究是一門社會科學領域常用的研究方法論課程,本課程介紹餐旅領域常使用之質的研究方法的觀點與研究過程。讓具有實務經驗的在職專班學生,藉由方法的學習之後進入田野練習,藉由親身經歷來更深刻的理解餐旅管理領域中的某一個問題。課程中導入本系老師量化研究做為相互驗證之關係,期能創造一般量化與質的研究在觀念與方法上的互補關係。
◎課程目標如下
1. 參與課程的學生將可以學習如何完成一份獨立的研究。
2. 並由多位老師其研究結果中,尋找自己將來可能研究的方向。
Qualitative research is a commonly used research methodology course in the field of social sciences. This course introduces the viewpoints and research processes of qualitative research methods commonly used in the field of hospitality and hospitality. Let on-the-job students with practical experience enter field practice after learning methods, and gain a deeper understanding of a certain issue in the field of hospitality management through personal experience. The quantitative research of teachers from this department is introduced into the course as a mutual verification relationship, hoping to create a complementary relationship between general quantitative and qualitative research in terms of concepts and methods.

課程概述 Course Description
本課程主要讓學生了解目前餐旅方面研究的各大區塊,包含營運管理,人資,顧客關係,財務管理,市場區隔及產業趨勢,課程以文獻討論的方式進行。在文獻探討的過程當中不僅會介紹目前餐旅管理研究主要用的質性及量化分析方法,包含焦點訪談,內容分析,變異數分析,因素分析,迴歸分析及較進階的結構方程式..等等在餐旅相關領域的研究應用;同時也會讓學生熟悉學術寫作的模式及組織方法。參與課程的學生將可以學習如何解讀一篇學術文章,並由其研究結果中尋找自己將來可能研究的方向。另一方也會藉由深入的文獻整合報告寫作練習及課堂中的討論,建立基礎的理論概念。學生多面性的文獻閱讀及分析,將協助其在研究主題上有全面綜觀的概念,使將來研究與整體產業結合,協助其將來研究結果更具實用性。學生將在課程中學到解讀文獻的技巧、比較分析及進一步文獻整合的能力。
This course mainly allows students to understand the major areas of current research in hospitality, including operations management, human resources, customer relations, financial management, market segments and industry trends. The course is conducted in the form of literature discussion. During the literature review process, not only will the qualitative and quantitative analysis methods currently used in hospitality management research be introduced, including focus interviews, content analysis, variation analysis, factor analysis, regression analysis and more advanced structural equations, etc., and their research applications in hospitality-related fields; students will also be familiar with the models and organizational methods of academic writing. Students participating in the course will learn how to interpret an academic article and use its findings to identify possible future research directions. On the other hand, basic theoretical concepts will be established through in-depth literature integration report writing exercises and classroom discussions. Students' multi-faceted literature reading and analysis will help them have a comprehensive concept of the research topic, integrate future research with the overall industry, and help their future research results to be more practical. Students will learn the skills of interpreting literature, comparative analysis and further literature integration abilities in the course.
