Course Target

第三部分前 半以 Biopolitics: An Advanced Introduction 為依據,選讀 biopolitics 經典文獻,主 要集中在 Michel Foucault、Giorgio Agamben 及 Michael Hardt and Antonio Negri。 This course is an initial discussion course for "biopolitics". It does not focus entirely on Michael Foucault, but the society that focuses on biomedicine and biotechnology is subject-oriented. Therefore, the course's domain positioning is political society, medical society, and science and social research (STS). Biopolitics (or similar concepts) are not new, but they began to gain targets in different fields at the intersection of the Neocentury ("Human Gene Plan" plays an important role), and many original derivative concepts emerge. This theoretical journey requires initial steps that can be used as an advanced pre-order navigation, which is the purpose of this course. The course design is divided into four parts. The first part is an experience research on the development of the biopolitics concept, covering different fields and topics. The purpose is to initially master the theoretical concepts and their application methods in the research structure through experience research cases. The second part is a brief introduction to Biopolitics: An Advanced Introduction (Lemke, 2011) and has a basically complete panoramic image of the history of biopolitics. The first half of the third part is based on Biopolitics: An Advanced Introduction, and choose to read the biopolitics classic texts, mainly focusing on Michel Foucault, Giorgio Agamben, and Michael Hardt and Antonio Negri. In the second half of the third part, Biopolitics: An Advanced Introduction, choose to read important articles recently derived from biopolitics. The last part is decided by the subject, and the options include: continuing the selection of classical or important theories in the previous part, selection of important theories or experience research papers so far from 2010, selection of discussions on biopolitics and neoliberalism, or selection of theoretical or experience research related to one's own research interests. Through the four-stage design of "Research on Theory → Panoramic View of Theory → Selection of Theory → Customized Theme", this course hopes to provide a theoretical panoramic view of the subject "important concepts and research topics" for the subject, "How to conduct research on theory and theoretical research" for the subject, "(If you conduct relevant research or qualification examinations, you must review the important documentary book", and "necessary foundations for advanced research".
